How we verify
Advertiser verification
- ID verified
Our team reviewed a copy of the advertiser's personal ID.
- Verified by video call
Our team spoke with the advertiser on a video call and matched their ID.
- Verified office
Our team reviewed the real estate office's licence; the badge shows on all its listings.
Advertisers cannot give themselves badges. A badge comes only from a review approved by the BaytAlsham team.
The ownership document badge
The BaytAlsham team reviewed an ownership document submitted for this property. This is not a legal guarantee; always check with the land registry or a lawyer before paying.
What the badges do not guarantee
- The badges do not guarantee that the property is free of debts or legal encumbrances.
- They do not replace a recent land registry statement or advice from a lawyer.
- They do not guarantee the price or that the property's condition is as described.
- The ownership badge is removed when the property's location, area or type is changed, until it is reviewed again.
Every listing is reviewed before it is published
Our team reviews every new listing and every significant edit before it appears. We follow up on reports, and we hide a listing that receives repeated fraud reports until we review it.
Warning signs of fraud
If you doubt a listing, report it from the listing page.
About the exchange rate
A converted price marked with ≈ uses an exchange rate that the BaytAlsham team sets and updates regularly. It is a guide only. The price that counts is the one the seller wrote in their currency.
How to avoid fraud
- A request for a deposit or a money transfer before a viewing.
- A price far below other prices in the area.
- Refusing a viewing or refusing to show the original documents.
- Rushing you or pressing you to close the deal quickly.
- A seller who says they are abroad and asks you to pay an intermediary.
- Documents where the name does not match the seller.
